All Ordinaries Index (AOI) started in January 1980 with a base level of 500. All Ordinaries Index index counts over 95% of the value of all shares listed on the Australia Stock Exchange (ASX). All Ordinaries is an index made of 500 publicly owned companies (stocks), based in the Australia. Index values are useful for investors to track changes in market values over long periods of time.
