Investment

Investment is when an entity (i.e. person, financial institution) purchase or agree to some financial arrangements (i.e.buy property, deposit money with interest, buy equity) with the expectation of making profit.

Investment should have positive return.
Positive return comes in different forms:
  • Capital gain from buying and selling properties.
  • Interest from depositing the money.
  • Making profit from baying and selling equity (shares) or collecting dividends by holding them for longer period of time.
